Replace Negative Thoughts With Positive Ones, You’ll Start Having Positive Results

We Have The Ability To Create Our Own Reality.

"When you think positive, good things happen." - Matt Kemp
"Don’t regret the past, just learn from it. " - Ben Ipock
"Hope is a waking dream." - Aristotle

It turns out that negative thinking isn’t just bad for your success, but also for your health! Numerous studies have shown that people who are more optimistic are physically and mentally healthier than pessimists. If you are struggling with negative thinking, I can tell you from my own experience that it is possible to turn things around and cultivate inner peace and happiness.

With proper understanding and a little practice you can transform your life from the inside out. If I can do it from the dark place I was in, then I firmly believe anyone

Here Are The Keys That Transform A Tumultuous Inner Environment Into A Peaceful And Joyful Abode.

Key 1 :  Recognize Negative Thought Patterns :

Identifying your negative thinking is the first step towards letting it go. These are the common types of negative thinking. There is overlap among them, but giving each type a name makes it easier to remember them. (If you do any more reading in cognitive therapy, you may come across the term “distorted thinking.” Some authors use that term instead of negative thinking. But it sounds harsh.)

Key 2 : Write Down Something Positive That’s Happened To You Each Day.

Use a worksheet to identify your negative thoughts on a daily or weekly basis.
Identify ideas that support the thought, and ideas that do not support the thought. Use these arguments to identify a thought that is true and more helpful. For example, if you identified the negative thought of, “I’m not good enough,” ideas that go against this thought would be: I am worthy, I try my best, I don’t need to be good enough for anybody, I am good enough for myself.
Negative thinking is an obstacle to self-change. Any change feels like a big deal. You can’t see the small steps, and you don’t have the energy to take big steps, therefore you feel stuck.

Key 3 : Change The tone of your thoughts from negative to positive.

For example, instead of thinking, “We are going to have a hard time adjusting to our living situation,” think, “We will face some challenges in our living situation, but we will come up with solutions that we will both be happy with.”

Key 4 :  Bring Gratitude To Mind.

Write down three things, every single day, that you are grateful for. In order to make this easier and more effective, you should write one thing about yourself, one big thing about the world, and one thing about someone close to you. This way, you can’t get away with writing “1. Coffee, 2. Chocolate, 3. Seinfeld.” While those things are great, they aren’t life changing.

Key 5 : Meditate Or Do Yoga.

Ensure you choose the right location and prepare yourself adequately, and your yoga meditation will be a very beneficial experience.

Key 6 : Smile.

How often do you smile in a day? Do you smile when you meet new people? When you see your friends? Around your co-workers? How about your significant other? Your face has 44 muscles in it that allow you make more than 5,000 different types of expressions, many of which are smiles.

  •  Smiling makes you more attractive.
  •  Smiling can help you de-stress.
  •  Smiling can help you land a job.
  •  Smiling can lead to laughter.
  •  Smiling just feels good.

Key 7 : Help Someone.

Here are seven scientific benefits of lending a hand to those in need.
  • Helping others can help you live longer.
  • Helping others makes us happy.
  • Helping others promotes positive behaviors
  • helping others gives us a sense of purpose and satisfaction.

Key 8 : Read Positive Quotes.

Inspirational quotes have been one of the main reasons for the success of many people. Reading motivational and inspiring quotes on a daily basis has been reported time and again to boost a person's motivation, and help them to take action towards what they want.n short, reading daily inspirational quotes and motivational quotes is one of the easiest, cheapest, fastest, and best ways to create a better life for yourself.

Key 9 : Try Not To Take Everything Personally.

It may be hard to hear, but not everything is about you and not everything is about me, either. Fear, paranoia and perhaps a measure of insecurity can lead us to believe the way other people react, or the things they say, are directed to us. Sometimes people are insensitive, judgmental or just plain in a bad mood.
One of my biggest challenges is when a person makes a negative comment about one of my projects, is to keep my temptation in check and not internalize the comment. What I often hear is I’m not good or effective – not the project.

Ways In Which You Can Stop Negative Thinking

1. List Five Things That You Are Grateful For Right Now.

Being grateful helps appreciate what you already have. Here’s my list: my cats, health, a six-week trip to Asia, a new yoga class that I’ll be teaching, and for my mom’s biopsy coming out clean.

2. Deal With Facts And Stop Mind-reading.

If You Don’t Stop Mind Reading Now, You’ll Hate Yourself Later . On a similar note, negative thinking also makes you incapable of dealing with any kinds of uncertainty. So when you are placed in a stressful or unfamiliar situation that has a potentially negative outcome, you have a tendency to pre-empt certain events and apply meanings to them without any significant facts. This can be described as mind-reading, and it is only likely to foster further negativity.
This can be easily resolved with a change in behavior, as you look to gather facts and details relating to the situation and use these to make an informed judgement. The key is to start with a scenario and state all of the logical explanations in order of their relevance, using either a pen and paper or verbal reasoning. If a friend has not replied to a text immediately, for example, this could be due to a number of reasons such as their battery dying, their presence in a meeting at work or the fact that their handset is on silent and the message has not been read.

3. Stop Thinking In Extremes.

When stress hits, we all tend to think in extremes. If you are worried you might lose your job, this might be thoughts like “I’ll never find a job as good, I don’t know how I can ever manage, that was the best position I will ever get”. You lose sight of the fact that you are highly employable, have never had trouble finding work in the past, and didn’t even like your job that much a few months ago.
This kind of all or nothing thinking is known as ‘black and white thinking’.

Why is black and white thinking a problem?
  • It stops us from seeing options and opportunities.
  • It can lead to low moods.
  • It can affect our relationships negatively.
  • It can be quite addictive
  • It stops you from moving forward with your life.
How do i curb my black and white thinking?
  • Start to pay attention to what you say.
  • Start to track your thoughts.
  • Learn to deal with being boring.
  • Learn what balanced thinking is.

4. Avoid Using Negative Language.

Stop using words in your mind such as won't and can't. Allowing negative thoughts to grow within your mind causes them to influence how you react to situations, which can produce negative results. Consciously make an effort to replace these words with will and can. Accept the fact that everyone occasionally fails, but see it as an opportunity to learn from the experience so you can do better next time.
This will prevent you from slipping into negative thoughts telling you that life is out to get you, when it isn't. Recognize that change is a part of life.
While some situations in life are definitely difficult (losing a job, losing a loved one), unfortunately some of these situations may be inevitable in life. Things simply may not work out the way we want to sometimes. Attempt to see these situations as opportunities for growth, or universal human experiences (such as loss) that you can get past.
Develop personal mantras or positive affirmations that help you accept change such as, "Everything will work out the way it's supposed to," or, "Change opens new doors."
